Wincanton On This afternoon's meeting at Wincanton goes ahead after the track passed a morning inspection. Clerk of the course Barry Johnson had planned to check the track at 8.30am but was able to give the meeting the go-ahead earlier than expected. He said: "It's minus 2C at the moment but we put the covers down and they've done the job as we're perfectly raceable underneath. We will leave them in place for a couple of hours yet. "We could get some sleety showers late this afternoon but they hopefully shouldn't cause any problems."
