Windsor Pride just held the late run of Maal in the Magners Light Handicap at Down Royal.

Willie McCreery trains this fellow, just a three-year-old, a gelded son of Windsor Knot, for the Leftovers Syndicate. Chris Hayes was in the plate.

McCreery said: "I've been wrong with this horse.

"I ran him over seven furlongs last time but the key to him is that he needs to learn to settle.

"You won't see the best of him until he goes over hurdles. He's already schooled and he's a right jumper.

"The syndicate are made up of half and half Dublin and Meath. Some are happier than others this week (following last Sunday's Leinster Senior Football Final)."

The rider of Coach Bombay said that his mount ran short of room. (MG & EM)
