Wonderfulwonderful for McConnell and Kearney Jack Kearney executed the perfect front-running ride aboard the John McConnell trained Wonderfulwonderful to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden at Ballinrobe. Sent off 5/1, the four-year-old went straight to the front exiting stalls, as Kearney bagged the favoured rails position. Pressing on before the home turn, the Rockview Stables owned filly got first run on her two main market rivals and, stayed on well to beat Camino Lad half-a-length. Jack Kearney reported: "We had a great draw and John (McConnell) told me there was no point in over-complicating things. "She put her experience to good use and it was a grand performance. "The first-time cheekpieces sharpened her up and made her think about things. "She had good form on the Flat and over hurdles, and she got the trip well. "I haven't ridden many for John (McConnell). I rode one for him on Saturday, and this is my first winner for him, so hopefully it's something we can build on." "The ground is slow, it's well watered."
