Major expansion planned for 2026 fixtures Several major racedays in the UK and Ireland have been shortlisted to become World Pool fixtures this year, pending approval from the Hong Kong Government. The July Cup meeting, Shergar Cup Day and Irish Oaks Day may see all of their races added to the World Pool this year. Glorious Goodwood and the York Ebor Festival are also expected to increase their World Pool days in 2026, namely day four of Goodwood - King George Stakes Day - and the final day of the Ebor Festival at York which includes the Ebor Handicap. The first UK World Pool fixture of the year will be the English 2,000 Guineas meeting at Newmarket on 2 May. The 1,000 Guineas the following day is also a World Pool fixture.
