Switched back to hurdles, having reached the frame on her latest two starts over fences, the Robert Tyner trained Wyoming Baby ran out a game winner of the Dine In Our Panoramic Restaurant Handicap Hurdle at Cork.

A former winning point-to-pointer, the seven-year-old needed every yard of the three-miles here on her first start over the trip under rules.

Held up in rear for much of the journey by Phillip Enright, the 7/2 chance made stylish headway on the outside of the field to join the leaders turning into the home straight.

Pushed along to dispute with Stellar Symphony on the run to the final flight, the pair were locked in battle all the way to the finish line. In the dying strides, Wyoming Baby just pulled out that bit extra to win by a neck.

Robert Tyner said: "She was unlucky in Tramore the last day as she grabbed at the second-last fence and landed on top of it. Even if she had jumped the last better, she might have been closer as well, but I don't know how they stayed in contact at the second-last.

"There was no chase coming up so I said we'd chance coming here. She is a Doyen and while they have a preference for better ground, we took a chance by running her. She might go back over fences now."

Regarding his good recent spell, he added "We're getting the knack of it finally but we're slow learners!

"I'm keeping five or six horses going just in case the weather breaks but it isn't a year for rain at all."
