York next for Time Test Time Test will head for the Sky Bet York Stakes before a second crack at the Juddmonte International. Roger Charlton's four-year-old finished a respectable third behind Hawkbill and The Gurkha in the Eclipse on Saturday on ground softer than ideal. Charlton feels the weight-for-age allowance Time Test was forced to concede, along with the ground, were valid enough excuses and he retains full faith in the colt. "Time Test travelled brilliantly into the race, got caught flat-footed when they quickened on the surface, before battling on courageously to be close behind the improving three-year-olds," said Charlton on his website. "The 11lb that they receive is a lot of weight to concede given how mature the best three-year-olds are these days. "Pat Smullen was delighted with Time Test and was asking for a renewal of the partnership in the future. "Time Test will head towards the Juddmonte International on August 17, and the Sky Bet Stakes also at York on July 23 fits nicely into the program. "Both of those are over his preferred distance of 10 furlongs."
