Youmzain Team Consider Options

Youmzain could renew rivalry with Sir Percy in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot later in the season.

The British-trained duo finished third and fourth respectively in the 12-furlong Dubai Sheema Classic won by Vengeance Of Rain at Nad Al Sheba on Saturday.

Sir Percy is now likely to step back in trip to tackle the mile-and-a-quarter Royal Ascot race, and while options remain open for Youmzain, handler Mick Channon says his charge may follow suit.

'I'm not shutting any doors at this stage and we shall look at all our options over 10 and 12 furlongs, but he seems best when there's a good pace on and he has more chance of that over the shorter trip,' Channon told the Racing Post.

'Youmzain is going from strength to strength, though he was a very good horse last year.

'People forget that he ran Rail Link to half a length in the Prix Niel and that horse went on to win the Arc.'
