Zeb pleases Murphy

Colm Murphy could not be happier with Big Zeb as the champion chaser limbers up for the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown on Monday.

The nine-year-old looked as good as ever on his reappearance in the Fortria Chase at Navan, beating Golden Silver who has since franked the form.

While Murphy respects his likely opponents, his biggest threat may come from the weather with the start of the meeting in some doubt.

"He is on course for the Dial-A-Bet and touch wood he seems in good order, I couldn't be any happier with him," said Murphy.

"After his win at Navan we decided to give him a break and keep him fresh for this race and thank God he has come out of it well.

"Compared to when he won the race two years ago, he is a completely different horse now and that was his first run back that year.

"The Queen Mother (Champion Chase) is the big target and we will probably go the same route as last year, with one more run after this race in the Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown at the end of January.

"I'd love a bit of good ground on Monday, but he has won on all sorts of ground and as long as it is not too heavy I wouldn't be worried.

"Golden Silver has done absolutely nothing wrong this year and seems to be improving with every race, while Captain Cee Bee is the one on the up and potentially could be anything. They are a couple that have to be respected."
