A dozen for the Derby Twelve horses were declared at today`s 48-hour final declaration stage for the Stg£1million Vodafone Derby at Epsom on Saturday. As expected, Godolphin`s Wareed and the Aidan O`Brien-trained Ice Dancer were the only two horses to be withdrawn. Godolphin rely on Tobougg, the mount of Frankie Dettori who is seeking his first success in the premier Classic, while O`Brien saddles the unbeaten Galileo. A field of 12 is the smallest since 2000 Guineas winner Nashwan beat 11 rivals in 1989. Now ante-post favourite Golan will bid to emulate that dual Classic winner as he bids to follow up his last month`s Newmarket triumph. Three-time Derby winner Pat Eddery take the mount on Lord Weinstock`s colt. His trainer Sir Michael Stoute, who has won the Derby twice, is also responsible for Dante Stakes winner Dilshaan. He will be ridden by last year`s Derby-winning jockey Johnny Murtagh. Barry Hills, who has saddled the runner-up four times, is responsible for a third of Saturday`s runners - Chancellor, Perfect Sunday, Mr Combustible and Storming Home. Derby declarations: Cashel Bay, Chancellor, Dilshaan, Galileo, Golan, King Carew, Mr Combustible, Perfect Sunday, Putra Sandhurst, Storming Home, Sunny GLenn, Tobougg. (12).
