A look ahead to Ascot's Summer Mile William Knight is hopeful Sir Busker can recreate his Ascot straight course form when he takes on the Group Two Betfred Summer Mile on Saturday. The five-year-old finished third at 22-1 in the Queen Anne Stakes on the opening day of the Royal meeting, a race that covers the same one-mile trip as this weekend’s assignment but is run on the straight track. This weekend’s feature includes a right-handed bend in the fourth furlong, something Sir Busker has encountered before but not in his performances at Ascot. “He’s obviously gone round bend before, but the straight track really suits him,” Knight told Sky Sports Racing. “That would be my only question mark leading into Saturday. “We’re going round a bend, but we’ve been given a nice draw and hopefully we’ll just keep it simple. “He likes it once they turn into the straight, he goes there in really good form so I’d be really confident of a big run from him.” Charlie Hills runs Tilsit in the same race, with the four-year-old in action for the first time since his second-placed effort in the Prix d’Ispahan at ParisLongchamp, where he crossed the line just a head behind Jerome Reynier’s top-class Skalleti. “Tilsit goes in the Summer Mile at Ascot, where we’re hoping things dry up a bit,” the trainer said via his William Hill blog. “I see they’ve already called Windsor off on Monday, which is a bit of a concern, but Ascot tends to drain well, particularly at this time of the year. “If it’s not too soft then I think he’s got a big chance.”
