Addragoole opens account in style at Clonmel Addragoole gained a deserved victory when taking the Derrygrath Maiden Hurdle in decisive fashion at Clonmel this afternoon. The Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding filled the runner-up spot on his opening five starts last year and having fallen here last month, put the record straight in no uncertain manner. The 13/8 favourite led approaching two out and after asserted before the last, kept on strongly under Keith Donoghue to beat Yoradreamer by eight lengths. Saint Le Fort was a further four lengths back in third. Donoghue said, "He had the rating to do that and had been very consistent prior to disappointing at Leopardstown. He was then going to run a nice race when he fell at the last behind a good horse of Willie's. "He was very good over the last two and galloped the whole way to the line. "We went a good gallop today which suited him and it is good to get his head in front as he is a grand horse. He'll make a nice chaser." Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
