Adelaide is likely to skip Saturday's George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill in Australia and head straight to next month's Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick.

Winner of last year's Cox Plate for Aidan O'Brien, Adelaide is currently in the care of Chris Waller before returning to Ballydoyle in the summer.

Ryan Moore partnered the four-year-old in a gallop at Rosehill on Tuesday, with Coolmore's James Bester reporting the jockey to be more than satisfied with Adelaide's efforts.

"The final decision will be down to the trainer Chris Waller but it's highly unlikely he will run in the George Ryder," Bester told www.bloodstock.com.au.

"He doesn't need a race to bring him on for the Queen Elizabeth.

"Ryan was delighted with his gallop this morning. He was up against a horse who was beaten a nose in a 1300 metre Group One last start so you would expect her to be in front.

"He is a naturally clean winded horse and the George Ryder would have just been a preparatory race and he doesn't need it."
