Aintree next for Osana

Osana is likely to head to Aintree after his good run in the Irish Independent Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham.

Edward O'Grady's charge finished third behind Sizing Europe after cutting out much of the running.

"Osana ran a good race again and having been second in a Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham as well, he obviously likes the place," said O'Grady.

"We had him in the Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse on Sunday but he won't run there and the plan would be for him to go to Aintree for the Maghull Novices' Chase over two miles.

Alaivan, third in the JCB Triumph Hurdle, also has a further spring target.

"Alaivan has come out of Cheltenham in good form and he will probably go to Punchestown," the trainer added.
