Albert Bartlett news David Pipe's Kings Palace tops 81 entries for the Grade One Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham on March 14. The six-year-old is a dual course winner and was most impressive when trouncing Masters Hill by 14 lengths in a Grade Two, backed by the same sponsors, in mid-December. North Yorkshire trainer Malcolm Jefferson has entered the highly-regarded pair of Oscar Rock and Urban Hymn, while among other classy entries are Warwick Grade Two winner Deputy Dan from Oliver Sherwood's stable and the Philip Hobbs-trained Champagne West. Ireland's champion trainer Willie Mullins has made 16 entries, including Briar Hill, Faugheen and Clondaw Court. The County Carlow handler has also entered Sure Reef, who got the better of fellow Albert Bartlett entries Moonshine Lad, Gilt Shadow and Wounded Warrior in a Grade Two at Leopardstown on Sunday. Trainer Noel Meade said of Wounded Warrior: "He is likely to go for the Albert Bartlett. "He ran a nice race at Leopardstown at the weekend, but it was a very stop-start race and that didn't suit him at all. "He will definitely be better over further and three miles won't be a problem."
