Sands Of Mali gelding Alissam popped up at 25/1 on debut in Dundalk last month and is set to return to the Polytrack in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race for juveniles on Wednesday.

While looking forward to running his charge, in-form trainer Stephen Thorne has identified another of Sands Of Mali's progeny as the danger.

He said: "He's due to run in the winners' race.

"The horse has been very well since the win, nice piece of work during the week actually with this filly (Innumerable who won at Dundalk on Friday).

"I think Tom McCourt's filly (All The Girls) is in there as well, a Sands Of Mali filly also, who was very impressive up here (Dundalk) the last night. She could be the one to beat.

"Very happy with our horse."

The last three horses that Thorne has saddled in Dundalk have all won.

Independent Expert also races for him in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming Race at Dundalk on Wednesday.
