All positives for Mixed Feelings Sent off the 11/10 favourite, Mixed Feelings routed her rivals on seasonal reappearance when landing Leopardstown’s Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden by six lengths under jockey Joey Sheridan. Racing for the Acheson family, whose National Hunt horses mostly race under the well-known ‘Robcour’ banner, Mixed Feelings took a keen hold in second place today, but quickened away from her rivals in the straight to score smartly. Winning trainer Joseph O'Brien reported "She obviously had a good run last year, so you’d hope that she’d come here and be hard to beat, but you don’t see them pull lengths away from the field like that very often. I thought it was an impressive win and she looks like a nice filly. “We could jump into a Guineas trial but she did still look a bit green there, so we might look at having another run somewhere before we go into a Group race. We’ll see how she pulls out and then can decide, but she’s a nice filly for the future. She coped with that going, but Joey said she’d be better on better ground. I’d say she’ll be versatile.” Quotes from Gary Carson
