American Options Open For Thomas Aidan O'Brien's exciting three-year-old Dylan Thomas could have his first taste of American racing on Saturday week.The Irish Derby and Irish Champion Stakes hero is being targeted at the Breeders' Cup Classic later in the year, but his handler is keen to let him experience the dirt surface before saddling him in his ultimate test.Plans are yet to be finalised but O'Brien is likely to run him in either the Kentucky Cup Classic or Belmont's Jockey Club Gold Cup a week later.'We've entered Dylan Thomas for the Kentucky Cup Classic a week on Saturday,' explained the Ballydoyle maestro.'We haven't decided yet whether he'll go for the race as there is also the Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park a week later to consider.'We're looking at giving him a run before the Breeders' Cup Classic to see how he handles what will be a new surface for him. He's in good form and we'll decide on plans over the weekend,' he told the Racing Post.(C) PA Sport
