Angel seeking black-type Joseph O’Brien is hoping Alwaysanangel can bag some black-type in the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket on Friday. The Harry Angel filly made an impressive debut at Fairyhouse last week and takes a big step up in class now in the Group 2 contest. Albany Stakes winner Libertango and Queen Mary runner-up Senorita Bonita are among the main contenders in the six-furlong event. Speaking at Fairyhouse yesterday O’Brien said:- “She’s a nice filly. She had a good debut here. “It’s a big step up in class but it would be nice to get some black-type. “I thought she was very impressive here but the two best fillies in England are turning up for the race so we’ll see how she gets on.”
