Another McLoughlin-runner lands Naas gamble Iamimmaculate landed a sustained gamble (morning 33s, returned 9/2) to win Naas’ Irish Stallion Farms EBF Claiming Maiden today, registering a second such result at the course for his young trainer Danny McLoughlin. Curragh-based McLoughlin, 23 and who combines work as assistant to trainer Danny Murphy, previously registered a first success in May 2024 at today’s Kildare course with Duckadilly, who scored at odds of 11/2 having then opened 50/1. Today, Iamimmaculate was trimmed from 33/1 this morning to 8/1 and, more substantially on-course, was further supported to 9/2 second-favourite behind 15/8 favourite Ipanema Beach, whom he defeated by 1.25 lengths. Regarding the Ringfort Stud Limited-owned gelding, successful jockey Ben Coen, who was recording a double, reported “he’s a nice colt. “He was green the first day over six and stepped up to a mile today. He’s still quite raw but when we met the rising ground, he pulled it out. He handled the ground and is a nice horse going forward.” Winner Iamimmaculate was later claimed for €25,000 by Ger O’Leary, while runner-up Ipanema Beach was bought for €20,000 by James McAuley.
