Larne trainer Stuart Crawford continued his good form across the Irish Sea when saddling a double at Ayr yesterday.

The northern trainer made headlines at the end of November when four of his horses obliged at the same track for a quad that paid just over 313/1.

Daryl Jacob was once again enlisted by Crawford and drove the always-prominent Gold Cup Bailly home by a length and a quarter to justify 6/4 favouritism in the extended three mile chase. This seven-year-old gelding was also part of the raiding party in November.

L Anamour drew four clear of his rivals under Jacob in the two mile maiden hurdle. The 'double green' colours of owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede were carried to victory on both horses.

Meanwhile, Keith Watson sends two horses from his Armagh base to run at Newcastle tomorrow.

Tynan, who was beaten three parts of a length into second at Dundalk last month, aims to make the breakthrough in the fist divide of the class 6 handicap over six furlongs.

Drummond Warrior contests the second split and 3lb-claimer Paula Muir has been booked for both runners.
