Jim Bolger has indicated Answered could run in the Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas if conditions are suitable at the Curragh on Saturday week.

The Godolphin-owned colt was fourth of six in the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial at Leopardstown on Sunday, having been closer to winner Fascinating Rock when second to Dermot Weld's horse in the Ballysax Stakes at Navan on his reappearance.

Bolger told At The Races: "If we get enough rain for the 2000 Guineas at the Curragh he 'll run there.

"Not that he needs a cut in the ground, but it will bring his stamina into play.

"If that doesn't happen we'll have to see what alternatives there might be, but his big target is the Irish Derby."

Unraced as a two-year-old, the Authorized colt began his racing career with victory in a mile maiden at the Curragh in March on heavy ground.
