Arazan a doubt for Dewhurst Stakes Trainer John Oxx says Arazan's chance of lining up in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday week is only "50-50", due to a bruised foot. Oxx is still hoping the Anabaa colt, who is as short as 8-1 for next year's 2,000 Guineas, will line up in the Group 1, but admits the horse will have to make a quick recovery. "Arazan is due to run in the Dewhurst Stakes on Saturday week, but he had a nasty enough foot bruise at the weekend and he has missed some work so he'll need to make a quick recovery," said Oxx. "He was, however, much better this morning. "It's unwelcome and has put his chances of running down to about 50-50. "It would have been better if this had happened a week earlier and it just stopped him from stepping uphis work at the weekend. We will wait and see how it goes." Arazan won his first two starts but lost his unbeaten record when third to Mastercraftsman in the National Stakes at the Curragh last month.
