Ballydoyle filly Victorious held the late charge of outsider Controlla to land the odds in the Coolmore Stud Irish EBF Fillies Sprint Stakes at Naas.

Ryan Moore tracked the leaders on the 10/11 shot and she ran around a touch when asked to quicken a furlong-and-a-half from home.

The Wootton Bassett filly got to the front passing the furlong pole but was strongly pressed in the closing stages by 25/1 debutante Controlla, in the Group 3 contest.

Victorious stuck her head out late on to secure the victory, getting home by a neck to make it two wins from two runs.

Trainer Aidan O’Brien said afterwards:-"She's still green but she's lovely. She's coming lovely.

“I'm delighted with that. Ryan just said he followed two and they died in front of him at halfway and he got left there.

“She was a bit green when she was in front but it was good for her. The Albany is the plan for her."

Paddy Power left the winner on 5/2 for the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.
