Aspiration Handed Oaks Target Joint Aspiration has been given the go-ahead for the Vodafone Oaks following her good effort in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the weekend. Mick Channon´s filly put behind her a disappointing run in the English version to finish a close seventh behind Saoire at the Curragh on Sunday. Joint Aspiration had broken a blood vessel when only 13th to Virginia Waters at Newmarket. 'She´ll definitely go for the Oaks and you´d have to be hopeful she´d stay as her dam got a mile and a half,' said the West Ilsley trainer. 'What was pleasing about Sunday is that she put Newmarket behind her and effectively did another 100 yards. It could have been very interesting. 'The problem was that we were nudged wide when the pace quickened and had too much to do but I was delighted with her.' Joint Aspiration is a best-priced 66-1 for the Oaks. ? PA Sport
