Attendance and betting both well up Crowd and betting figures were both well up as punters flocked to Ballybrit for day five of the Festival meeting. The attendance of 23,054 was up a massive 26% on the corresponding evening last year, although it was admittedly very wet 12 months ago. The bookmakers turnover also showed a sharp rise on 2009, with 2,008,711 euro bet in the ring. This figure was 31% higher than last year's 1,533,946. The Tote aggregate was also up a more modest 2% at 837,920.
