Grade Two-winning chaser Aunt Nora is in foal to Shantou after being retired through injury.

The Pat Fahy-trained nine-year-old mare by Kayf Tara only made her racecourse debut in November 2014 and ran just 15 times, winning three.

However, she signed off her career with a notable victory in the Ocovango Coolmore National Hunt Sires EBF Mares Novice Chase at Thurles in January.

"She had niggly problems and was too valuable to risk to try to keep on racing," said Fahy.

"She was a great mare but got a little injury out in the paddock just before she was due to run at Naas.

"Things weren't going to plan so it was decided to retire her and put her in foal.

"She started racing late but achieved quite a lot and won a Grade Two."
