Having spent several years writing for irishracing.com since its inception back in the late 90s after a career in merchant banking, Brian moved to the Racing Post as a Senior Journalist in 2004 before taking over as their chief Comments-In-Running writer in 2012. Brian’s passion for horseracing dates back to his teenage years when he accompanied his late grandfather to the local betting shop to place bets on a Saturday and describing himself as a ‘disciplined punter’ these days he also enjoys betting on other sports, notably professional golf, snooker and soccer.
