Azamour Wins Setting A New Course Record

Azamour ? sent off the 5-2 favourite - was traded at a high price of 9-2 in-running on betting exchange Betfair, as punters benefited from Mick Kinane's waiting tactics in today's King George at Newbury.

John Oxx's multiple Group One winner was trying the mile and a half distance for the first time, but stayed every yard of the trip to win in a new course record.

He is now likely to be rested before embarking on an autumn campaign, with The Prix de L'arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in October his main end of season target. He is currently trading at 5-1 on Betfair for the Paris showpiece.

Betfair Bet: 9-2 Motivator, 5-1 Hurricane Run, 5-1 Azamour, 8-1 Shawanda, 12-1 Bago, 16-1 Grey Swallow, 20-1 Bar.
