Eoin Griffin is considering the Grade 2 Irish Form Book “Monksfield” Novice Hurdle for the talented Azorian at Navan on Sunday.

The Westerner gelding was successful last term in a point-to-point at Kilfeacle and a Leopardstown bumper, and really impressed when making all for a runaway victory on his reappearance in a Cork maiden hurdle earlier this month.

Griffin stated, “He has come out of Cork in great form and he looks a very nice prospect. He’s entered for Sunday and I’ll have a chat with Eddie O’Leary later on this week to see what he wants to do.”

Willie Mullins has four of the 11 entries in the two and a half mile event including recent winners Clonard Lad and Alelchi Inois, while the Aidan O’Brien-trained Carriganog is on a hat-trick after convincing victories at Clonmel and Wexford last month.
