Ballinrobe gets green light

After an inspection this morning, Ballinrobe is fit for racing and today's fixture goes ahead.

Following a dry night, the ground is now Soft (on hurdle/bumper course) & Soft, Heavy in places (on chase course). Possible thundery showers are forecast this afternoon with a mainly dry day expected tomorrow (track also hosts a National Hunt card from 4.45pm then).

The first of seven National Hunt races is off at 4.30pm.

Tipperary has a National Hunt card on Tuesday from 1.25pm and the going is now Soft to Heavy after 15mm of rain since declarations. Showers are forecast today and overnight, with a mainly dry day tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the ground at Gowran Park is currently Heavy with parts of the track waterlogged and unfit for racing.

The forecast is for a further 3mm (approximately) of rain prior to racing and there will be an 8am inspection on Wednesday morning ahead of the fixture scheduled to take place that day.
