Ballybawn Belter will bid to enhance Foxrock form if weather dries up Liz Doyle is on weather watch ahead of Ballybawn Belter's potential crack at the Dublin Racing Festival in Leopardstown this weekend. The six-year-old mare was successful on her penultimate start in a mares' handicap hurdle at Ballinrobe in September before running unplaced in the valuable 'Brown Lad' at Naas in November. Doyle said: “She’s in the three-miler (Listed Race And Stay At Leopardstown Handicap Hurdle) at the Dublin Racing Festival, but wouldn’t want the ground too deep. I could do with it drying out for her. “I think the trip should be okay as she stayed on well over 2m6f at Ballinrobe and she seems to finish well. “She needs a bit of distance now, but we wouldn’t want any rain for her to run. “It was a bit sticky for her at Naas (over 2m4f) the last day, but she seemed to stay on to the line. A trip on nice ground is her thing. “She is unbeaten around Leopardstown as she won there last year and also won her bumper there.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee
