Aidan O'Brien has made eight entries for the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury next month as he bids to win the prestigious juvenile prize for the first time.

Dick Whittingham, The Great War and War Envoy were all beaten at Royal Ascot for O'Brien, but are in contention for this six-furlong Group Two on September 20.

The unraced quartet of Father Frost, General Marshall, The Crewmaster and Cradle Mountain and Cork runner-up The Warrior make up the rest of the Coolmore challenge.

Other Irish interest comes in the shape of Ger Lyons-trained duo Ainippe and Capella Sansevero and Accepted from the Tommy Stack stable.

Richard Hannon Snr is the joint-leading trainer in the race's history with four wins and his son has engaged 2000 Guineas ante-post favourite Ivawood, impressive Norfolk Stakes scorer Baitha Alga and the hardy Kool Kompany, beaten just once in six starts.

Also possibles to represent the yard are Beacon, Dougal, Dr No and Holland Park.

The unbeaten Limato, winner of a Listed event over course and distance when last seen, is the promising name from Henry Candy's yard.

Hamdan Al Maktoum has enjoyed a fantastic season and the leading owner has Adaay and Mubtaghaa engaged, both trained by William Haggas.
