Ballydoyle trio in Bahrain Trophy Aidan O'Brien can choose from three in the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket on Thursday. The Ballydoyle handler has given entries to Housesofparliament, Landofhopeandglory and Lieutenant General in a recognised trial for the St Leger. Ed Dunlop has given Irish Derby fourth Red Verdon an entry in this race, as well as in the Princess of Wales's Arqana Racing Club Stakes on the same card. If taking his chance in the latter, he could come up against l ast year's winner Big Orange, who is also among 11 horses remaining following the confirmation stage. Michael Bell's five-year-old could renew rivalry with the Luca Cumani-trained Second Step, who followed him home in second place, on day one of the July Meeting. Sir Michael Stoute may give Exosphere the opportunity to redeem himself following his poor effort in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot. The four-year-old had earlier won the Jockey Club Stakes in tremendous style. John Gosden has left in both Eagle Top, who has been declared for the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on Sunday, and Muntahaa, who is also in the Bahrain Trophy. The Grey Gatsby, the 2014 Irish Champion Stakes hero, is an interesting possible runner on what would be just his second try at a mile and a half. O'Brien's Intelligence Cross and Peace Envoy feature among 13 entries for the Group Two Arqana July Stakes.
