Ban rules Fallon out of Derby

Kieren Fallon will miss the Vodafone Derby after being suspended at Ayr today.

The jockey was found guilty of irresponsible riding of a minor nature on third-placed Distinctive Dream in the RS Design Handicap and suspended for June, 9th, 10th and 11th.

He appeared to barge his way through on the stand rails causing interference to the unplaced Tancred Times.

The former champion jockey was expected to partner ante-post favourite Golan in the Epsom Classic.

With the ban being more than two days it cannot be delayed and Fallon`s only hope of riding in the Derby rests with an appeal.
