Bap Syndicate quids in with Bhean Saibhre Bhean Saibhre (12/1) got on top after the last to land Kilbeggan's Tom Lynam Memorial Handicap Hurdle over two miles, three furlongs. The daughter of Decorated Knight was travelling well in second when jockey Peter Smithers went for a run down the inner approaching the home bend, only for the door to close on him. Despite dropping to third, the gap reopened and the five-year-old was able to avail of it. Despite a sloppy jump at the last, the Bap Syndicate's mare stayed on well to beat Cloonainra by a length and three-quarters.    “She likes the likes of Kilbeggan and Ballinrobe, these little tight tracks, and a nice bit of good to yielding ground,” said winning trainer Aidan Howard. “Peter gave her a great ride as well. She did very well as she got hampered between the second last and last, I thought we had lost our chance. She obviously has a big heart.” On the recent good form of the yard, he added:- “They are going very well, the horses are healthy. I’ve a nice bunch of young horses.” Claiming 5lb, Smithers has now ridden four winners this month, the same number as his 7lb-claiming brother Conor. Additional reporting by Gary Carson
