The progressive Barnavara, who put the seal on her season in the Group 1 Prix de l´Opera Longines at ParisLongchamp this month, has an appointment at the sales.

Jessica Harrington's three-year-old filly has had a memorable season in winning four times including at Listed level in Navan, a Group 3 at Naas and a Group 2 at the Curragh before gamely toughing it out off the front at the highest level in France.

Harrington said: “She’s in good form, she’s just hacking away at home. We’ll keep her ticking over to have her looking good for the sales.

“She’s going to the mares' sales, that’s her next appointment at the start of December.

“I’d say someone will buy her to race her on next year.

“She’s an amazing filly. She started off a rating in the 80s and has just progressed all year, up to a mark of 111 now.

“She won her Listed race, then a Group 3 and Group 2 and then the Group 1 at Longchamp.”
