Beauty faces four in Ballyroan

Profound Beauty is reported to be in tip-top condition as she bids to secure back-to-back successes in the ITM/Springpaarden Fonds Ballyroan Stakes.

Dermot Weld's six-year-old has an excellent record at Leopardstown having won on five of her seven appearances at the venue but Stan Cosgrove, racing manager for the owners Moyglare Stud, admits he would like to see some rain ahead of Thursday's Group Three.

"She's in good form but we just hope there is a bit of give in the ground," said Cosgrove.

"We've had a bit of a shower at Moyglare this morning but Leopardstown is a funny place and you would never know what will happen there.

"There was a nice shower a couple of hours before she won there the last day and if it's similar ground on Thursday, that would be grand.

"She's a wonderful mare and we'll see how she gets on at Leopardstown before we decide where we go next.

"She's in the Yorkshire Oaks but again that would depend on the ground."

Profound Beauty will concede weight to each of her four rivals in the mile-and-a-half contest.

Aidan O'Brien saddles Await The Dawn and Snow Blizzard, while Pat Martin's Indiana Gal and the John Oxx-trained Akzar complete the line-up.
