Beauty in top form for Ballyroan Profound Beauty is reported to be in rude health as she goes in search of a hat-trick in the Ballyroan Stakes at Leopardstown on Thursday. Dermot Weld's five-year-old ended last year with a fantastic effort to finish fifth in the Melbourne Cup and is unbeaten in two starts during the current campaign. A second trip Down Under is on the agenda later in the year and Stan Cosgrove, racing manager for owners Moyglare Stud, feels there is still plenty to look forward to. "She's in good form and she seems better than ever this season, so I think she'll run a good race," said Cosgrove. "John Oxx's horse (Mourayan) is a big danger but our mare has a good chance. "Melbourne is still the long-term plan for her." Seven horses go to post for the Group Three event with Mourayan's third-placed finish in the Irish Derby making him the highest-rated horse in the line-up. Jim Bolger runs the in-form Shreyas, Stately Home represents Aidan O'Brien, while the Kevin Prendergast-trained Nafaath is another interesting contender. Fiery Lad and The Bull Hayes complete the field.
