Beauty to tackle Melbourne Cup again Dermot Weld's Profound Beauty is set to have a second crack at the Melbourne Cup later this year. The daughter of Danehill finished fifth in the 'race that stops a nation' last November and is unbeaten in two starts during the current campaign. "She's a lovely mare and I think she's possibly better this year than last year," Weld told At The Races. "To win a Melbourne Cup you need a lot of luck and you need a lot of luck just to get them there sound to take part in the race. "She has all the credentials and ran an excellent race last year so provided the ground is safe she could represent us very well."
