Tom McCourt has mapped out late-season plans for admirable eight-time winner The Bog Bank who just "loves racing".

The eight-year-old Epaulette mare popped up at 12/1 in Gowran Park at the start of the month and she is scheduled to return to her beloved Bellewstown where she has enjoyed four victories.

The trainer said: "She has won up in Down Royal over seven (furlongs) which I couldn't believe - I never thought she would be quick enough for seven around here.

"All being well, she will go to Bellewstown in October. She is just one of those hardy mares and you kind of have to run her.

"When she is out of the '60' bracket, she just struggles a little bit.

"She has won twice in Dundalk so she could go there as long as she is well in herself. She loves racing and is out in the paddock every day.

"She has eight wins and plenty of places, and she's tough. Every time you think she might be gone, she comes down to a mark and pops up again."
