Trainer Ben Pauling is confident that antepost favourite The Jukebox Kid will run a big race in next Monday's Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.

Having skipped the Cheltenham Festival, the gelding will be fresher than many of his rivals coming into the Easter feature and, Pauling expects him to be involved at the finish:

"He was in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham and, I just felt the ground was getting lively enough for him and, I always have a sneaky suspicion he is a little bit better right-handed.

"Although he hasn't had that many runs, I think he is an improving novice and he's going the right way and, maybe he's got a profile that will suit the race.

"For various reasons, we didn't get many hurdle runs into him. We always knew that he was going to be a better chaser."
