Berkshire ready for Royal Lodge Paul Cole's exciting two-year-old Berkshire is set to have his first race since Royal Ascot in the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. Connections of the Chesham Stakes winner report the Mount Nelson colt to be in fine form ahead of the Group Two contest over a mile. "He definitely goes to the Royal Lodge. The horse seems to be in the form of his life," said Cole's son and assistant, Oliver. "He'll do his final bit of work tomorrow and he'll be ready to go. The logic behind going for the Royal Lodge is that he's started to settle at home. "You could see in the Chesham he wasn't stopping even after the line so he should get the trip and he should put up a good performance. He's ready to rock and roll."
