Big Fairyhouse meeting cancelled Sunday's meeting at Fairyhouse has been cancelled due to snow on the track. The high-profile fixture was set to feature three Grade 1 races sponsored by Bar One Racing including an eagerly awaited rematch between Hurricane Fly and Solwhit in the Hatton's Grace Hurdle. The course was found to be unfit for racing with three inches of snow at mid-day and, with freezing temperatures forecast, officials were left with no option but to call it off. Saturday's scheduled meeting at the Co. Meath venue was already put back until next Thursday in order to give the Sunday meeting the best possible chance of going ahead. Irish racing now faces a blank weekend, and any further rescheduling details will be carried on this website as soon as they come to hand.
