Big Orange geared up for Gold Michael Bell anticipates a bold show from Big Orange in next month's Ascot Gold Cup should ground conditions be in his favour. The five-year-old is reported to be in good order ahead of tilt at the Group One prize on June 14 which he is as short as 14-1 for. After just being touched off in the Dubai Gold Cup on his seasonal return in March the dual Group Two winning son of Duke Of Marmalade finished a creditable third on his first start in Britain last month over an inadequate mile and half in the Jockey Club Stakes at Newmarket. Bell said: "Big Orange is very well and is all geared up for Royal Ascot. His whole summer campaign has been geared around the Gold Cup and he looks a picture of health. "His form in Dubai has been boosted since with the winner Vazirabad winning well with a penalty last time out. "We didn't expect him to win the Jockey Club Stakes and he ran as we expected as a mile and a half is not his cup of tea. "We are really looking forward to running him and if we get fast ground he will run a big race."
