Blackmore hoping Tard can bounce back at Leopardstown Rachael Blackmore is hoping that A Plus Tard can bounce back to form in the Savills Chase at Leopardstown next week. Last season's brilliant Gold Cup winner was a shadow of himself on his return at Haydock last month, when pulled up in the Betfair Chase. Initial blood tests failed to reveal any problems with Henry de Bromhead's charge but Blackmore is hoping that connections have now got to the bottom of the issue. “You are just hoping that something will crop up to explain a run like that,” said Blackmore. “He's a very talented horse and that wasn't his true running at all. “He seems well at home since, Davy Roche is the man who rides him out a lot and he is happy with him. “We'll see closer to the time and Henry will make a decision. “A few things cropped up after Haydock which would explain that run and we're hoping to draw a line under that now. Hopefully we can get him back on track in Leopardstown.”
