Bob heads quality Slaney entry

The Slaney Novice Hurdle at Naas on Sunday has attracted a quality field with 11 entries for the Grade 2 event.

Boston Bob, a Grade 1 winner for Willie Mullins and Graham Wylie at Navan last month, tops the field in the two-and-a-half mile contest.

Mullins has also entered Local Celebrity, who impressed when taking his maiden hurdle at the Meath track earlier that month.

Tony Martin has entered promising Gigginstown gelding Dedigout, who took the novice hurdle at Navan on that same day.

Gigginstown could also be represented by Make A Track, a game winner at Gowran on his last run.

The race could have added flavour with last year's Irish National winner Organisedconfusion among the possibles.
