Bowerman lands big pot in Qatar Ado McGuinness and Ronan Whelan landed a big pot in Qatar today when Bowerman stormed to victory in the $200,000 ITM Cup at Doha. The seven-year-old has been a great servant for owners Total Recall Racing Club and gave them a memorable victory in the mile contest this afternoon. Whelan produced his mount with strong run in the final furlong to land the spoils and record a neck victory in the Group 2 contest. It adds to an already impressive haul for the Dutch Art gelding who was a Group 3 winner when last seen at Dundalk in September. It's his ninth career success and sixth since joining McGuinness. It was the perfect start to a big weekend for the Lusk handler who also has Saltonstall and Harry's Bar in action in Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
