Brampour wins Greatwood as Dice finishes 4th Brampour (12-1) ran out a ready winner of the Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham this afternoon. Paul Nicholls' charge is fulfilling his potential this season and followed-up victory in a warm Ascot heat with a fluent win here. Harry Derham was again in the saddle and he gave the four-year-old a fantastic ride, going to the front going to the last and running on strongly up the hill. Olofi (8-1) was chopped for room turning in and ran on well to take second ahead of Abergavenny (28-1) in third with Tom Doyle aboard Galway Hurdle winner Moon Dice (11-2) back in fourth. Nicky Henderson's A Media Luz refused to start. Betfred make the winner a 33-1 chance for the Stan James Champion Hurdle, Sky Bet and Paddy Power going 25s. The sponsors of the March showpiece go 20s and quote him at 7-1 for the Fighting Fifth Hurdle. Derham is Nicholls' 17-year-old nephew and said: "It's unreal. I'm very, very lucky that Paul and the owners have let me ride this horse. I was flat-out all the way but then he picked up. "Paul has been so good to me, even when I was young, and to do it for him is so unbelievable." Nicholls added: "I was useless as a jockey but Harry's very good and I wouldn't just use him because he's my nephew. "Brampour is in the Figthing Fifth but I have that in mind for Celestial Halo so he could wait for the Bula back here in December."
