Brennan has a nice book at Leicester

Paddy Brennan has a nice book of rides at Leicester today and the Galway-native begins on Barry Connell's Frascati Park in the Widmerpool Novices' Hurdle (division two) at 1.20.

This son of Bach is odds-on for the two miler after finally making the breakthrough over hurdles at Ascot last time. His main danger would appear to be Araldur. Alan King's French-bred enjoyed a tremendous season in 2008/09 by winning three times culminating with a narrow success in the Henry VIII at Sandown. A fractured pelvis has limited his racecourse appearances since to just one outing but he shouldn't be underestimated.

Brennan is on a very interesting type in Kings Queen in the 2.20. This Wizard King mare looked good when scoring in an Inch point-to-point back in March when under the care of Laurence Murphy (a brother to former jockeys Declan and Eamonn) outside Hospital in County Limerick. She won by eight lengths then under David John Byrne and she has since joined the Tom George yard. Dun See Dee, another ex-Irish 'pointer' is currently odds-on for Charlie Mann and Tony McCoy in this extended two and a half miler.

Half-an-hour later the Ardrahan man is on Hidden Keel for Charlie Longsdon. This grey ran an excellent race behind Tarablaze at Exeter on December 5th.
