David Bridgwater intends to give The Giant Bolster plenty of options as he maps out a programme for his Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up.

The Paddy Power Gold Cup back at Cheltenham, Newbury's Hennessy Gold Cup and the King George VI Chase at Kempton on St Stephen's Day are already among the races Bridgwater will at least consider.

"He's a lot stronger than last year," Bridgewater said.

"We got him back about July 20th. With him, you get him fit and then back off him again - he's that type of a horse.

"He likes to be fresh and bouncy.

"He'll be entered in the King George and we'll probably enter him in the Paddy Power.

"We'll also be entered in the Hennessy. It's not the target, but if we're not in it, we can't win it.

"He's a right playboy and is a very fresh horse. He will improve a lot this year," he told At The Races.
